All Safe Haven visitors required to wear clean face covering

Man wearing face mask

Anyone visiting one of our Safe Haven crisis services in Epsom, Guildford, Woking, Reading or Aldershot is now required to wear clean face covering. This measure is aimed at protecting our staff and other visitors from the spread of coronavirus.

Anyone attending without face covering will be provided one on arrival. Our staff also reserves the right to provide a face mask to any visitor wearing inadequate face covering.

Safe Haven services

Our Safe Havens are open every day from 6pm until 11pm but only for adults aged 18+ experiencing a mental or emotional health crisis and who feel they cannot cope. The usual maintaining wellbeing hour from 6pm until 7pm is currently suspended due to social distancing restrictions.

If you cannot attend our Safe Havens in person because you are self-isolating, shielding someone or yourself or simply unable to leave your house, you can now attend our Safe Haven virtually. Visit www.sabp.nhs.uk/safehaven and scroll down to ‘Virtual Safe Havens’ where you will find links that take you to their nearest virtual Safe Haven service. The virtual service is also operational from 6pm-11pm, seven days a week.

Alternatively, you can access other crisis services which we have listed on our Crisis Support page.

Mental health and wellbeing support

If you are not experiencing a mental health crisis but would still like to get some mental health support, you can request a 30-min phone or video call with one of our trained staff members or attend one of our online wellbeing groups and activities. You can also access any of the online activities on the Surrey Virtual Wellbeing Hub which lists all activities provided by all the mental health organisations in Surrey. All activities are free of charge and available to any adults aged 18+. You do not need a mental health diagnosis to attend but you will need to register with us or the organisations providing the activity.

Delivery and Strategy Lead: Co-Production and Community Engagement (Leatherhead)

Portrait of Megan, Co-Production Lead, MFT

Megan joined MFT in January 2025 and looks after the development of our strategic priority for MFT to live and breathe co-production. She also facilitates our Advisory Group, and champions those with lived experience of mental health challenges to improve the way mental health support is developed, reviewed, and delivered.

Megan first learnt about co-production as a Lived Experience Advisor with the Independent Mental Health Network based at Surrey Coalition of Disabled People, contributing her own lived experience to mental health projects in Surrey and North East Hampshire after graduating university.

She has since worked on a range of development projects for Surrey’s mental health and wellbeing support, immersing community engagement and lived experience into research and decision-making. Additionally, she is an alumna for The King’s Fund after completing their Advanced Organisational Development Practitioner programme.

To maintain her wellbeing, Megan is an avid reader, journals, and practices Yoga.
